Jim Ovia – Chairman
Jim Ovia is the MD/CEO of Zenith Bank Plc. He is an entrepreneur par excellence who has left a timeless mark in the annals of the continent’s financial sector.
Godwin Emefiele
Godwin Emefiele holds a BSc. and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also an alumnus of Executive Education at Stanford University, Harvard University and Wharton Graduate Schools of Business. He is the Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank PLC, and has over eighteen [18] years experience in the financial industry.
Adaora Umeoji
Adaora holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Jos and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and also of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN).
She is a product of the Executive Course on Strategic Thinking and Management for Competitive Advantage at Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, and the Harvard Business School Executive Education programme (OPM).She is the Regional/Group Director heading the Abuja Zone of Zenith Bank PLC
Apollos Ikpobe
Apollos Ikpobe holds a Masters degree in Finance from the University of Lagos and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from the Yaba College of Technology and graduated with a distinction in 1987.He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and has worked with various establishments including Oni Lasebikan & Co and Insight Communications before joining Zenith Bank in 1992.
He has served in various capacities in the bank, namely, Treasury & Financial institutions, corporate banking, and the Apapa zone.
Apollos has over 15 years experience in the banking industry and has attended several courses including the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France. He is currently an Executive Director at Zenith Bank Plc.
Udom Emmanuel
Mr. Emmanuel is the Group Head, Income Optimization, Financial Control & Strategic Planning Department of Zenith Bank PLC. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos in 1988. His management experience spans reputable organizations like Price WaterHouse Coopers and Diamond Bank Limited.

DR. AMINU MOHAMMED – Managing Director/Chief Executive
Dr. Aminu is a graduate of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Maiduguri and also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). He has been working in the health insurance industry for the past 9 years, rising through the ranks to the level of Assistant General Manager with the National Health Insurance Scheme. Dr. Aminu has extensive experience in clinical practice and has attended several courses on health insurance and healthcare financing both within and outside the shores of this country. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard School of Public health, USA, where he received tutelage on improving the quality of health services.
DR. HENRI ONYEMACHI – Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Henri, a Medicine & Surgery graduate of the University of Port Harcourt also has an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London. He has built up a rich practical experience in the highly specialized field of Managed Care Health Insurance. He was a pioneer Regional Head of Operations for two Health Maintenance Organizations in Nigeria, viz, Mediplan Healthcare Ltd. and Expatcare Health Services Ltd. He has participated in several courses on health services management and healthcare insurance. He has also served in various clinical capacities in several health institutions in the country. He is now deploying this diverse technical experience on the management team of Zenith Medicare Ltd.
MRS. IJEOMA C. ONYEMALU ACA – Head, Finance & Administration
Mrs. C. Ijeoma Onyemalu is an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She has worked in various levels as an accountant & financial advisor in both private and public establishments (Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Abuja). She pioneered the accounting department of Concord Nig. Ltd., and has been involved in consultancy services for several years. Presently she is in the final stages of the CISA certification and has provided great financial leadership in the Zenith Medicare family.
MR. BASHIR H. MOHAMMED – Acting Head, Information Systems Technology
Mr.M. H. Bashir is a distinction graduate of Computer Science from Sokoto State Polytechnic. He has worked in the Management Information System (MIS) department of the Sokoto Health System Development Project as a software developer and hardware maintenance engineer. He was a Systems Administrator with Zenith Bank PLC until his re-deployment to Zenith Medicare Ltd.
DR. CHIDI V. UGBOGULU – Regional Head, South-South & South-East
Dr. Chidi is a product of the University of Benin medical school. He brings into the management team of Zenith Medicare Ltd the wealth of experience he has acquired over the years from work in various hospitals and the Managed Care Health insurance industry. He was the South-South Regional Manager for Multishields Ltd (an HMO) and has attended several courses on Managed Health Care, Health Care Financing and Quality Assurance. He has a passion for deepening the operations of the health insurance industry in Nigeria as well as for Public Health.
DR. (MRS) ENO USOROH – Regional Head, North
Dr. (Mrs) Usoroh is a product of the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, from where she graduated with the highly coveted Provosts’ award for excellence. Presently, she is an external student of the University of Manchester, UK where she is studying for a Masters in Public Health (MPH) Health Promotion stream. She brings to the management of Zenith Medicare Ltd a wide range of medical and managerial skills garnered over the years from reputable organizations like UNICEF, National Hospital, Abuja, and GEDE Foundation.
DR. (MRS) OLAYINKA OGUNNOIKI – Regional Head, South West
Dr.Yinka qualified as a Medical Doctor from University of Maiduguri. She has had in-depth hands-on experience managing health insurance units for different healthcare facilities in Lagos. She is an expert on provider relations and the implementation of quality assurance systems. She has a Diploma in Financial Management and has demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skill as a member of the Zenith Medicare team.
